- Zahan Mistry is the son of the late Cyrus Mistry, the former chairman of Tata Sons, the holding company of the Tata conglomerate.
- He inherited part of his family's 18.4% stake in Tata Sons after his father died in a car crash in 2022.
- His uncle Shapoor Mistry is chairman of the family's Mumbai construction giant, Shapoorji Pallonji Group.
