- Theodore Rachmat, known as Teddy, founded Triputra group in 1998; its business lines now include agriculture, manufacturing and mining.
- Rachmat owns a minority stake in listed coal company Alamtri Resources Indonesia, formerly Adaro Energy, where he is vice president commissioner.
- He started out at automotive group Astra International, founded by his uncle William Soeryadjaya, in 1968. He eventually became CEO.
- His son Ariano is vice president director and deputy CEO of Alamtri Resources; son Arif Patrick, who worked for GE for seven years, is cofounder and chairman of palm oil giant Triputra Agro Persada.
