- Suman Munjal is the son of late Brijmohan Lall Munjal, founder of Hero Group, who died in 2015 at age 92.
- He is a non-executive director on the board of two-wheeler behemoth Hero MotoCorp, which is run by his younger brother Pawan Munjal and is the family's most valuable asset.
- Suman is the chairman of Rockman Industries, which supplies aluminium die castings to Hero MotoCorp.
- He set up the auto components division off Rockman in 1995 and started manufacturing motorcycle chains
