Biography
- Chae has served as chief financial officer of alternative asset management giant Blackstone since 2015. He was named vice chairman in January 2025.
- Chae joined Blackstone in 1997 and ran its international private equity business before being tapped to oversee the firm's finances.
- Chae previously worked at alternative asset manager The Caryle Group and investment bank Dillon, Read & Co.
- Chae is an alum of Harvard, Yale and Cambridge. He is a director of the Harvard Management Company and founder of the Chae Initiative in Private Sector Leadership at Yale Law School.
