• A quarter of a century later, he sold a 66% stake in it to private equity firms EQT and Krikbi in a deal that valued the firm at $3.3 billion.
• He later brought on Singaporean sovereign wealth fund GIC as an investor and, in 2022, sold the last of his shares in NAC.
