Biography
- Li Zhenguo is the chief executive of Longi Green Energy Technology, one of China's largest manufacturers of solar wafers and modules.
- Li worked at a state-owned semiconductor factory before striking out on his own during the 1990s.
- He cofounded Longi with two of his college friends in 2000, and named the company after Jiang Longji, the former headmaster of his alma mater Lanzhou University.
- Today Longi has over 60,000 employees with production bases in China, Malaysia and Vietnam.
- In 2023, the Shanghai-listed company announced a plan to raise $2.8 billion through an offering in Switzerland.
