- Li Chunan is a cofounder of Longi Green Energy Technology, one of China's largest manufacturers of solar wafers and modules.
- The company's two other cofounders, Li Zhenguo and Zhong Baoshen, are college friends with Chunan from undergraduate days at Lanzhou University.
- Li is also the chairman of Linton Technologies, a maker of semiconductor and solar equipment based in the northeastern city of Dalian.
