- Lev Kvetnoi has invested in airports, airport services, banking and cement.
- Kvetnoi was the largest shareholder in Moscow's Vnukovo Airport, owning 30% of the project, until he sold out in 2013 and quit its board.
- In 2011 he expanded his cement holdings by acquiring one of billionaire Elena Baturina's factories in southern Russia.
- For a time Kvetnoi served as chief executive of a company in billionaire Alisher Usmanov's metals group, but he sold out his interests to Usmanov in 2006.
- In the early 1990s, Kvetnoi traded computers with an army friend Andrei Skoch, who is now also billionaire.
