- Kwak Dong Shin is chairman and CEO as well as the largest shareholder of Hanmi Semiconductor, a manufacturer of semiconductor equipment in South Korea.
- Hanmi Semiconductor manufactures equipment used in semiconductor packaging, one of the final stages of chip production.
- Kwak joined Hanmi Semiconductor in 1998 and became its CEO in 2007.
- Hanmi Semiconductor was founded in 1980 by Kwak's father, No-kwon, a former Motorola engineer.
