Biography
- Joseph Baratta has served as Blackstone's global head of private equity since 2012.
- He joined the alternative asset management giant in 1998 and moved to London in 2001 to help build the firm's European private equity business.
- Baratta serves on the boards of a number of Blackstone portfolio companies including Ancestry.com, Medline and Merlin Entertainments Group.
- Before joining Blackstone, Baratta worked for investment firms Tinicum Incorporated and McCown De Leeuw & Company and in the M&A department of Morgan Stanley.
