- Ivan Savvidis, a Greek-Russian businessman, is the founder of Agrocom Group, whose assets included Russian tobacco firm Donskoy Tabak.
- Savvidis sold Donskoy Tabak for $1.6 billion to Japan Tabacco in March 2018.
- Seen as a Putin ally, Savvidis is a former member of the Russian parliament.
- Through his Greek company Dimera, he owns a stake in soccer team FC PAOK in Thessaloniki, Greece, where he also operates a port.
- He got his start as a worker at the Don State Tobacco Factory (now Donskoy Tabak) and was elected general director in 1993.
- In 2022 Savvidis bid for the port of Alexandroupoli in northeastern Greece but in the long run the Greek government decided not to sell it.
