- Girdharilal Bawri is the chairman of Macleods Pharmaceuticals, one of India's leading pharma firms.
- Bawri, whose family owned a pharmacy in Jaipur, set up Macleods Pharmaceuticals in 1986 with his two siblings to make anti-TB medicines.
- Macleods produces generics for a range of diseases including asthma, osteoporosis and diabetes.
- His younger brother Banwarilal Bawri is joint managing director of Macleods. While his other younger brother Rajendra Agrawal passed away in November 2025.
