- Rybolovlev' built his fortune in Uralkali, Russia's largest producer of potassium fertilizers, during the 1990s privatization era.
- He sold his stake in Uralkali for $6.5 billion in 2010 and doesn't appear to have any business in Russia these days.
- He has spent roughly $1 billion on property in Europe, including Greek island Skorpios and $400 million Monaco penthouse La Belle Epoque.
- After a nasty years-long divorce battle, Rybolovlev was ordered to pay his ex-wife $605 million. In Oct. 2015 they reached an undisclosed settlement.
