- David Blitzer runs the tactical opportunities group at alternative investment giant Blackstone.
- In 2011, he joined forces with then Apollo colleague Josh Harris to buy the NBA's Philadelphia 76ers. They later added the NHL's New Jersey Devils and English soccer club Crystal Palace to their holdings.
