- Chan Tan Ching-fen is the wife of the late Hong Kong property tycoon Chan Tseng-hsi. She controls the largest shareholding in Hang Lung Group.
- Hang Lung was run by her eldest son, Ronnie, until his retirement in 2024. His son Adriel took over as chairman.
- Ronnie's brother Gerald leads the family's Morningside Group, a private equity and venture capital investor.
- Her father Tan Hui-kuk was a second cousin of Sun Yat-sen, the founding father of the Republic of China, and provided Sun with financial support.
