Biography
- Cao Renxian is the chairman and CEO of Sungrow, which makes renewable energy products such as solar PV inverters, wind power converters and energy storage products.
- Coming from an impoverished rural family in Hangzhou, Cao got his bachelor's and master's degrees in industrial automation from the Hefei University of Technology.
- After spotting opportunities in the renewable energy market, he founded in 1997 Sungrow while teaching at his alma mater.
- Today, the Shenzhen-listed company also sells its products in global markets including the Middle East, Southeast Asia and the U.S.
