- Bulat Utemuratov is a Kazakhstani investor whose investment portfolio includes holdings in the hotel sector and mobile phone companies Kar-tel and Kyrgyzstan's Sky Mobile.
- In 2012, he led the sale of mineral company Kazzinc to commodities firm Glencore for $1.4 billion in cash and shares, which he sold in 2021.
- Utemuratov purchased 88% of Kazakhstan's Forte Bank for $400 million in 2014.
