- April Goh is a granddaughter of the late Singaporean paints tycoon Goh Cheng Liang, who died in August 2025 at age 98.
- The Goh family draws the bulk of its wealth from a majority stake in Japan's Nippon Paint Holdings, one of the world's largest paint manufacturers.
- April, together with her five cousins, inherited the bulk of their grandfather's fortune.
