- Andrei Kosogov is a member of Russian conglomerate Alfa Group's supervisory board and is in charge of its investment units.
- Kosogov cofounded international investment company LetterOne in 2013. He stepped down from the board in March 2022 after his partners were sanctioned by the EU and the U.K.
- LetterOne has invested in oil and gas firm Wintershall Dea, cellular companies Vimpelcom and Turkcell, and health food chain Holland & Barrett.
- Born in Estonia when it was part of the Soviet Union, Kosogov graduated from Moscow Power Engineering Institute.
- In 1992, Mikhail Fridman hired Kosogov to oversee the establishment of a privatization investment fund. Months later he became chief executive of Alfa Capital.
