- Alexander Evnevich cofounded Orimi, Russia's largest Russian producer of tea and roasted coffee.
- Orimi was founded in 1994 as the Orimi Trade company, which ran wholesale trade of flour, sugar and tea.
- The company would become a major player in the Russian tea market, eventually launching its own tea packaging production.
- During the 1980s and 1990s, Evnevich worked in Vedeneev VNIIG, the largest scientific center of designing, construction and operation of hydraulic power plants in Russia.
- Evnevich's family also controls Maxidom, a large Russian DIY retailer that in 2020 acquired the Russian subsidiary of Castorama, part of British company Kingfisher.
